Hi, I am Vanna

I'm the one with the camera. It all started when I picked up the family camcorder at 7 years old, and ever since, I've been drawn to preserving the fleeting, everyday moments that become memories you will hold on to forever and pass down through generations.
When I am not documenting your memories, I am with my family collecting my own. I love traveling, journaling and creating art in other mediums such as painting. I've lived in Ohio my whole life and while there is something about the Midwest that rests deep within my bones- I'll travel anywhere to capture a love story.
Fun facts
- I have seen every episode of Ghost Adventures (including spin offs).
- I average reading about 20 books a year.
- Orca Whales and Sharks are my favorite species.
- I am an avid thrifter and try to upcycle whenever possible.
- I love music and try to go to as many live shows as I can.
- I love the desert, out West truly has some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
- I fill a new journal each year.
- I am not a good dancer, however I will always try.
- I have a giant corkboard with little mementos like Zoltar fortunes, concert/event stubs, polaroids, drawings and post cards.

- Killer whales are actually not whales, they are the largest species of dolphins.
- The first surviving permanent photograph was created in 1826/1827.
- The word 'photography' originates from Greek, and it's meaning is 'drawing with light'.
- The 'hare' represents intuition and even with being a prey animal they thrive, teaching vulnerability can be a strength.
- The 'coyote' represents the capacity to adapt to new situations and survive in difficult environments.
- The 'moth' represents intuition and the ability to navigate the darkness to find the light.

When you step in front of my lens, my top priority is trying to make you feel as comfortable and authentic as possible. I understand that being photographed can sometimes feel intimidating, so I aim to create an environment where you can just be yourself. I take more of a documentary style approach to photography, trying to capture the day and moments as they unfold naturally.
From our first conversation to the final delivery of your images, I am with you every step of the way. I am here to answer any questions you have and make sure every detail is taken care of. I truly value my connections and getting to know you. I want to know what makes your heart race, the song that gets you dancing barefoot in the kitchen-and how you met your lover in the first place.

What the process of working with me can look like

FROM HELLO TO GALLERY
Storytelling takes more than just a camera, it takes connection. Here is how we will work together to keep your experience true to you and your memories authentic.
It all starts here. You reach out from my inquiry form, share a bit of your heart and what your vision is. And then I'll follow up within 24 hours via email to go over a little more information.

We'll sit down for coffee or tea (in person or via phone) to make sure we truly vibe and are a good fit. This step is so important because your wedding photographer is one of the few vendors you end up spending your whole day with. We'll go over what is most important to you and what you want your day and photos to look like. The conversation will also be open for you to ask me anything you want to know about me or my process.
let's groove babe

Once we know we are a good match I'll send you over my contract for you to review and sign and you will pay your retainer. Once those are completed we are officially locked in and you are on my calendar.
If you opted for an engagement session, we'll get that on the books. It is a great way to get comfortable prior to your wedding day.
Like in all relationships, communication is SO important. I am not a just 'show up and shoot' person. I will check in periodically through out your process to see how you are doing and if there is anything I can do to help from timeline questions to vendor recommendations.
A month before you say "I do", we'll touch base to go over your timeline and make sure the flow of your day leaves time for you to live in the moment while I document the details. And I can answer any questions you have lingering.
the wedding day

This is it, I'll be the quiet observer, documenting your day as it unfolds naturally (and being your snack runner if need be). For portraits I can help with gentle prompting when needed.
24-48 hours while you are still in the haze of your wedding day I'll send some sneak peek highlights of your day. Then within 8-12 weeks your fully story will be ready. A link to your final gallery will come by email.

Say hello. Let's work together.

Based in Cleveland Ohio but traveling anywhere love leads.
